How does automated gate attendance work? ↓
Students carry an RFID badge or walk past long-range UHF gate antennae. When they pass the campus gate, the reader sends a micro-second HTTP ping to Firebase Cloud Functions, updating attendance counters and notifying parents in real-time.
Can teachers still mark manual classroom attendance? ↓
Yes! Teachers have access to the Teacher Attendance Portal to record single manual daily attendance or period-wise subject attendance, pre-populated with live gate entry status.
What happens if school internet connection goes down temporarily? ↓
Our hardware readers and mobile scanner apps feature local offline buffering. Gate pings are saved locally on the device memory and automatically synced to Cloud Functions once connectivity is restored.
Is student data private and secure? ↓
Yes. All student profiles, gate logs, and fee ledgers are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We enforce strict tenant data isolation, role-based access control, and GDPR/COPPA compliance.
Can parents apply for student leave online? ↓
Yes. Parents log in to the Parent Portal to submit leave applications with medical attachments. Once approved by class teachers, a scannable exit QR gatepass is automatically generated for gate security.
